“seriously Y/N another one?” Murphy almost laughed, slinging his arm over your shoulder as the two of you looked down at the unconscious grounder, “im guessing the Nargles are behind it?”
“Nargles?” Clarke asked, “what are those?”
“invisible creatures that fly around your ears and knock you unconscious.”
“so you and Y/N are pretty close.” Bellamy stated.
“well yeah,” Murphy smiled just thinking about you, “i mean, she’s pretty much an angel.”
“she is abnormally nice to you.” Bellamy agreed.
Murphy nodded, “yeah, i really like her.”
“she can’t always be right!” Clarke said in exasperation. everyone looked at her, she sighed, “can she?”
“you guys fight a lot-” Murphy started.
“but she always forgives you.” Bellamy interjected.
“so what we’re saying it,” Raven jumped in, “everything will be fine.”
the mansion on Ali’s island had everything you needed for the winter. it was remote, with protection from grounders and other things that might want to kill you and nice windows to watch the snow from.
you and Murphy spent hours in bed in front of the huge windows that looked over the trees covered in white snow. safe. just the two of you. not a care in the world.
hell, you were so comfortable you even went and cut down a small tree to decorate like you’d heard of in the history books. it was perfect.

“we have to protect her.” Bellamy stated.
“thats obvious.” Murphy said, “but what if she doesnt wake up?”
Bellamy shook his head, “she will.”
“and how can you be so sure?” Murphy asked.

his eyes found you immediately, the girl from the meeting. you were just as beautiful now as you had been then, even more so. with the natural sunlight illuminating your features John Murphy was falling for you, and he was falling hard.
“is she going outside?” Murphy asked, watching you leave the bunker.
“we better follow her.” Bellamy stood up.
“agreed.” your protection was the only thing they agreed on.
“how do you two even get along?” Bellamy sighed, watching you fuss over Murphy’s cuts from the most recent bad decision.
Murphy shrugged, “opposites attract.”
“why are you so nice to me?” he sighed, tired from the argument you just had “im nothing but rude to you.”
“as my mother always used to say, have courage and be kind" you stated, kissing him on the cheek, you turned and walked away, him staring after you, even more in love than before.
“Y/N and i are not… involved.” Murphy said, trying to dodge Luna’s questions.
“i dont believe that.” Luna stated, “i see the way you look at her. the way you cant take your eyes off her. i do not know what your people do when in love, but i know if i were you, i’d grab her and never let go.”
