“how do i look?” you asked, fixing your hair one last time.

Faraday made a face at you. “do you really need my opinion?” he asked. you nodded. “Y/N, you are the most beautiful woman i have ever seen. you’re probably the most beautiful woman i ever will see and its a shame you dont see yourself the way i do.”

“we could be a team. you can pretend to be all over me like you were in there, get men distracted-”

“who said i was pretending.” you grinned, continuing to walk away from him.

“that was real?” he asked, “you, all over me like that?”

“its up to you cowboy.”

you were chasing the kids around. it was obvious you werent running as fast as you could, otherwise the game would have ended a while ago. but you kept the children with smiles on their faces, laughing as you pretended not be fast enough to catch the kids half your size.

Faraday watched near the stables, smiling every once and a while to himself when you did something to make the kids laugh.

“she’s a remarkable woman.” Sam’s voice interrupted his thoughts, “gonna make a man very happy some day.” Sam paused, “if you want to be that man i’d suggest going over there and showing her you share a common interest.”

“first off she’s not just going to swoon over you, Y/N’s not like that.” Goody stated.

“agreed.” Billy stated, “your flirtations will not work on her.”

“what flowers does she like?” Faraday asked.

Goody and Billy both started laughing, “you think you can just pick some flowers in a field and she’ll jump in your arms? you dont know Y/N do you?”

“i keep trying to get her attention but she never gives it to me.” Faraday whined.

“thats because you flirt with anything with a skirt.” Vasquez answered absentmindedly.

“i do not.” Vasquez rolled his eyes and Faraday sighed, “i suppose you’re right. well i have more tricks up my sleeve, just wait.”

“she did all that?” Faraday asked in shock, turning to look at where you were talking with Bobby and Goody.

“si.” Vasquez answered, taking a smoke. “the little lady did all that.”

“well damn.” Josh grinned, “now i definitely have to get to know her better.”

his flirting made you roll your eyes, “good day Mr. Faraday.” you stated, leaving the bar. he watched you walk away from him, a grin spreading on his face.

“why the smile? you just got rejected.” Vasquez laughed.

Faraday smiled, “maybe now. but im going to woo her. gonna woo her all the way down a church isle and to a sacred alter where i am going to marry that woman.”

“where is your gun? Ethel?” Billy asked, not seeing the familiar gun at Faraday’s side.

“i sold her.”

“you what?” Vasquez sat up.

“sold her. needed money to buy this.” he held up a small box, opening it to show his friends the ring inside, “finally found a woman who means more to me than Ethel and i’ll be damned if she doesnt have a pretty little ring on her finger.”
